Heart
'n Home Volunteer Program
At Heart 'n Home we LOVE our volunteers!
Heart 'n Home utilizes and values specially trained, caring volunteers
that are capable of assisting the people we serve. We would be unable
to meet all of the needs of our patients, families, and community
without the skillful hearts and hands of our volunteers.
We make a living from what we earn,
We make a life from what we give . . .
What we do for ourselves dies with us,
But what we do for others lives forever.
Winston Churchill
Do you want to make a difference? Through
volunteering with Heart 'n Home Hospice & Palliative Care you
can impact people's lives. The line between "helper" and
"helpee" are almost non-existent. The volunteer and the
person served impact each other's lives, just in different ways. Something
as simple as reading a book, offering friendship and companionship,
or vacuuming a patient
or family's home can make a remarkable
difference during trying times. ANYONE can be an effective Heart 'n
Home Volunteer, as long as they are willing to give of their time.

and needed.
Opportunities to

leisure time and reduce loneliness, isolation, and pressure.
There are numerous simple, yet powerful
